Maun is the jumping-off point for the Okavango Delta — a vast inland river system that floods seasonally and supports some of the densest wildlife concentrations in Southern Africa.
Most of our guests reach Maun via Kasane and Chobe National Park, combining a Chobe game drive with onward travel deeper into Botswana. It's a longer leg than our standard Victoria Falls add-ons, so we build it in as part of a wider circuit rather than a single-day trip.
July to October for the Delta's seasonal flood, when wildlife concentrates around the waterways.
Via Kasane and the Kazungula border, continuing on to Maun by road or connecting flight.
Mokoro (dugout canoe) trips through the Delta's channels, plus classic Chobe game drives en route.
